Everton have unveiled plans of their new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock.

The capacity of the newly built stadium would be initially 52,000 and later it can rise up to 62,000 in future. The club need to work out the design before presenting it to the planning commission for their sanction.

The Toffees currently play their home match at the Goodison Park which can accommodate 39,000 supporters and should the new stadium get the green signal they will have one of the biggest stadiums on the UK soil.

The initial expenditure of the new stadium is set at ÂŁ500m and the club will be looking for private funding to bear the cost. There is also provisions of rail seating or safe standing if the Premier League changes their rules.

A club statement read  : “The projected capacity takes into account several factors which include design and orientation of the stadium on a dock site, current and future ticket demand and forecast revenues and costs.

“The stadium will also be ‘futureproofed’ for any changes in regulations in relation to ‘safe standing’

“The design of two of the stands will make it easy to adopt a rail seating/safe standing solution, which will offer optionality and flexibility, should the law change in future.
