Everton chairman Bill Kenwright confirms the club will not sell John Stones
John Stones, 21 looks set to stay at Everton as the club have released a statement today saying that the defender is not for sale and that he remains a vital part of their first team plans.
This is set to be a big blow for Chelsea who have already had two bids turned down and see Stones as a long term replacement for John Terry who has looked out of sorts so far this season.
League One outfit Barnsley will also be disappointed with the news as they have a 15% sell on clause for the defender who started his career at Oakwell before joining Everton in 2013 in a deal worth ÂŁ2.25 million.
