Everton Should Move On From Oumar Niasse

The relationship between Everton and Oumar Niasse has been strained right from the start and both parties might be ready to call it quits.

Latest reports claim that Huddersfield Town and Crystal Palace are looking towards a loan agreement for the 28-year-old forward. Niasse has featured in just 6 games for the Toffees this season, totalling only 165 minutes on the pitch.

Marco Silva has chosen to field Cenk Tosun, Richarlison and Dominic Calvert Lewin in the striker position but not Niasse.

The Senegalese forward did find new life at Goodison Park earlier in 2018 under former manager, Sam Allardyce but quickly fell back to the benches. Ronald Koeman took to far lengths of banishing the forward from the senior squad and even sent him out on loan to Hull City.

Overall Niasse’s time at Merseyside has not been rewarding at all and it might be time for a change. Silva is being supported by Farhad Moshiri and the rest of the Everton board with generous amounts for top grade signings.

While is club is adding talent across the boards, Silva might have to trim down on the fat. Niasse is certainly not void of talent as seen from his short stints on the pitch.

With his contract set to run for another season, Everton could scour up a couple of millions from his permanent exit as well.
