Everton have so far this season benefitted from the loan system, loaning in Lukaku from Chelsea and Deulofeu from Barcelona. Both have been in good form this season and have helped Everton to fifth place in the Premier League currently.
Martinez has hinted that next season they will exploit the loan system to bring in high profile or up and coming players, due to big clubs wanting their players to be loaned to Everton.
The manager said: ‘Clubs have seen the other loanees and how well they have been looked after.
‘We have had phone calls from clubs asking about taking their players for next season. They see it as a perfect step-up in their career,’ he added.
‘Put yourself as a director of football. You spend £20million on a youngster, but there is no place for him in your team yet.
‘You aren’t going to send him somewhere that he is not going to develop or to a club with a different style.’
Martinez will want his current loan signings too help Everton push towards a Champions league place come the end of the season.
