The Special One was today sacked as Blues manager

Former Chelsea man Demba Ba has revealed it is exhausting to play under Jose Mourinho.

The striker joined Chelsea from Newcastle and started out well but when the Special One took charge, he fell down the pecking order and found games and goals hard to come by.

He is now plying his trade in China for Shanghai Shenhua and after the sacking of Mourinho by the Blues today, he has revealed how stressful it can be to play under the manager.

He said: “When he loses, you feel as if the sky as fallen on his head.

“It’s rare for him to do three years in a row. For a player, it’s so tiring, exhausting.

“He pushes his players to the limit to see what they’ve got in them.

“It’s up to you alone to gain confidence again if you lose it.”

Hiddink expected to take over

Mourinho led Chelsea to the Premier League title last year but the Blues have started this campaign terribly and the reigning champions have found themselves at the wrong end of the table. After a defeat to Leicester, it appears as though it became too much for Roman Abramovich, who has called time on the Special One’s reign at the club.

Guus Hiddink is widely expected to take temporary charge of the Stamford Bridge side until the summer, with many linking Diego Simeone and Pep Guardiola to take the job permanently next summer.
