FA Cup Live On TV: Watch live FA Cup Games 2020

The FA Cup is the top domestic knockout tournament in England. It allows teams from the 10 Levels of English football league system to participate. Level 1 consists of all 92 Premier League teams, level 2 through 4 are all the English Football League teams and then there are the non-league teams from level 5 to 10.

In the first round of the FA Cup, 32 teams aim to qualify before meeting 48 League One and Two teams in the second round.

The Premier League and Championship clubs enter last. In the modern-day rules, only one non-league team has reached the quarter-final of the tournament and not a single team lower than Level 2 has reached the final.

This year’s FA Cup is unfolding to be an exciting one and we can’t wait to see who the winner is by the end of May. Here are all the latest details about FA Cup games, highlights, replays and matches of the 2019/20 season.

History Of The English Football Cup

The first FA Cup match took place in 1871 November. After 13 games of competition, in March 1872, Wanderers have crowned the first winners of the inaugural FA Cup. The competition went into the 20th century where it slowly became the most important domestic cup in England.

It had incredible prestige amongst the clubs and the fans as it grew in stature and reputation. By the end of the 20th century, the FA Cup’s demand had reduced as the European competitions and the rebranding of the Premier League grew in stature. In this century, Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal are the most successful FA Cup teams. The defending champions Manchester City are also growing in stature in the FA Cup.
