United have been been keeping tabs on Fabinho

Monaco midfielder Fabinho wants to force through a summer move to Manchester United, according to The Sun

Monaco lost many stars last summer after an impressive season but they kept hold of one of their stars, Fabinho. They blocked every attempts of him to leave the club and wanted him to stay as least for another year.

The Brazilian is expected to leave Monaco this summer with many top European clubs keeping tabs on him. Paris Saint-Germain tried to sign him last season but was refused by Monaco. He wants to leave the club  this summer and hopes the club will grant his wish, as his preferred destination is Old Trafford.

Manchester United are in the market for a new midfielder as Michael Carrick is set to retire at the end of the season and Marouane Fellaini likely to leave on a free transfer. Mourinho has made adding a top quality midfielder his priority and already keeping tabs on Jean Micheal-Seri and Fred. But with the prospect of getting Fabinho has made United look towards the possibility of bringing the 24 year old this summer.

According to reports, the midfielder is is valued at around £55 million by the French giants and the player will allow super-agent Jorge Mendes to make the move to the Premier League happen.

Fabinho recently admitted after defeat in the Coupe de la Ligue by PSG, that he is currently focusing on ending the season strongly:

“Speaking the truth, I have had no contact with any team and I do not even care at the moment.

“I’m concentrating on finishing the season well at Monaco and then, when it’s time, I’ll sit down with the club and if I have to listen to any proposal, we’ll listen.”
