Liverpool’s new signing Fabinho has stated that he will try to convince former Monaco teammate Kylian Mbappe to come to Liverpool. Shortly after becoming a Liverpool player, Fabinho received a text message from Mbappe congratulating him on his move to Anfield.
“Kylian Mbappe sent me a text message congratulating me on going to Liverpool,” said Fabinho. I have not had the chance to congratulate him yet on what he did winning the World Cup. What France did was fantastic. What Mbappe has done in two years of professional football is amazing. He is a phenomenon and needs to be congratulated. As soon as I have the chance, I will.”
“He has already said for the next season he will remain at PSG. But I will try slowly to convince him to come to Liverpool!.”
This statement by Fabinho should give Liverpool a glimmer of hope in getting Mbappe. The 19-year old had a dream of a World Cup where he scored 4 goals and was the Best Young Player of the Tournament. He also became the first teenager to find the net in a World Cup final.
The addition of Mbappe will certainly fortify Liverpool’s frontline.
