Brendan Rodgers has lost patience with Italian
Liverpool are finally set to part ways with misfiring striker Fabio Borini as Lazio eye up a Summer deal.
The Italian has struggled to impress during his time at Anfield and Brendan Rodgers has finally lost patience with his lack of goals. The 24-year-old has netted just once in 16 appearances.
Borini arrived at Anfield back in 2012 after agreeing to leave AS Roma, but after three years in Merseyside, the Italian has failed to pay back his £10.5 million transfer fee.
According to reports, Borini is ready to go back to his homeland with Lazio eyeing up a deal, and despite snubbing a chance to leave Liverpool last year, it’s believed he will choose to leave this time around.
The striker was wanted by Queens Park Rangers before the start of the season, but he snubbed the move as he wanted to stay and fight for his place under Rodgers.
Borini was out on loan last season at Sunderland.
