As Spain and Italy come together on Sunday in what promises to be a great and worthy final of Euro 2012, players from either side are already starting to weigh up the opposition. In past meetings with these two teams, it has produced some wondferful football from some truly great players. None more so than the young and ever present Mario Balotelli, and according to spanish midfield maestro, Cesc Fabregas, the young Manchester City forward could prove to be the key element for Italy in Kiev on Sunday night.

Fabregas told journalists on Friday, “Balotelli is a great player. He showed that by scoring two superb goals in the semi-final against a very strong team like Germany.”

The Barcelona player also told reporters that the two most consistent teams have made it to the final, and it shows that these two are evenly matched, as they played out a 1-1 draw in the group stage on matchday 1.
