Chelsea are reported ready to offer Cesc Fabregas £200,000 per week. Barcelona have told Fabregas he is allowed to leave this summer, and Chelsea have joined the hunt for the Spaniard’s services. Jose Mourinho wants the 27-year-old to be a replacement for Frank Lampard after the England international was released by the club. According to reports in Spain, Chelsea are willing to increase the Spanish international’s salary to approximately £200,000 per week, if he moves to the West London club.
United have been labelled as the favourites to sign the ex-Arsenal captain, but Chelsea are convinced that Fabregas would be more likely to accept a prodigious offer instead and join the Londoners.
Mourinho wants the deal to be done and dusted before the start of the World Cup, to avoid paying inflated prices. It looks likely that The Blues will offer a monstrous £30 million bid this week to kick on with the deal.
