The Ligue 1 star arrived at Old Trafford on the final day of the summer transfer window for a £6m loan fee and has featured in each of the Red Devils’ matches so far, without scoring.
However United are keen not to let their star striker leave at the end of the season so they have begun transfer negotiations with Monaco.
The Old Trafford side have agreed a £43m fee whilst Falcao will be earning a reported £250,000 a week, plus multiple bonuses.
The deal could be finalised as early as January, with boss Louis Van Gaal clearly seeing the 28 year-old as part of his plans for the future.
