New Chelsea striker ready to win silverware

Radamel Falcao has told Chelsea fans that he’s excited to join the club and wants to help them win as much silverware as possible next season.

The Colombian was announced a Chelsea player yesterday, after they agreed terms with AS Monaco over a season-long loan deal, with a view to making it permanent this time next season.

Premier League Second Chance

The Blues have been interested in Falcao since he returned to France, despite him failing in the Premier League with Manchester United last season.

The 29-year-old only managed four goals during his season-long loan at Old Trafford, but that didn’t put Jose Mourinho off, who is adamant he can get the best out of the striker.

Falcao was labelled as one of the best strikers in the world during his time at FC Porto and Atletico Madrid, and Mourinho wants to show the Premier League the real Falcao.

After the announcement was made, Falcao spoke to the official Chelsea website and stated his desire to win as much silverware as possible for the club next season.

Falcao Statement

He said: “Very happy to join Chelsea and help us look to retain the league title and be successful in Europe.”

Pay-Cut

Falcao is thought to have taken a massive pay-cut in order to join Chelsea on loan, after The Blues refused to pay his ÂŁ265k-a-week wages.
