Manchester United striker, Radamel Falcao, will leave the club in the Summer if they fail to finish in the top-four.

The Colombian international has had a poor season by his standards during his first venture in England and with just a few months left on his loan-deal from AS Monaco, it’s believed that the deal won’t be made permanent by the Premier League club.

Falcao has struggled to settle and has failed to reach the dizzying heights he has previously set at Monaco, Atletico Madrid and FC Porto, and according to his former agent, a permanent move to Old Trafford is not on the cards as it stands.

However, Silvano Espindola, has admitted that the Colombian is disappointed that he’s failed to set alight the Premier League.

He told AS: “I’m not going to say he is happy because he is not. We have talked many times and cried together.

“It is not an easy situation because every player wants to play and every striker wants to score goals. That is normal.

“But at this time he is not being given a chance and this is also part of football.

“He is recovering his best form. When I speak to him I say that this can happen to any striker – a bad streak can happen and has happened to all the great scorers.

“When you are not getting selected of course there will be pressure.”

When asked about Falcao’s permanent future, Espindola said Champions League qualification is a must.

“Many journalists say, ‘Falcao was wrong. If he had not gone he would have been in the quarter-finals of the Champions League with Monaco’.

“It is easy to say that six months later. At the time he moved to Manchester United he had to do it. It was the best of the options available, no question.

“I know in his heart Falqui has a deep desire to play in the Champions League next season.

“I do not know whether United will qualify for the Champions League but that is his desire.

“At the end of the season he will decide but there is much still to sort out.”
