Marco Silva has insisted that standing ovations from the Everton fans will make the team stronger.

Everton lost to Manchester City in the last match in the Premier League by 2-0.

Everton manager Marco Silva has applauded the fans support that the Toffees received after their defeat against Manchester City in their last Premier League match at Goodison Park. Speaking to the club’s official website after the match, Silva said, “We had a good attitude and gave a strong answer, it was completely different from our last game and everything we needed to show. The main thing is the result and we did not achieve what we wanted before the game.”

He added, “But the first word for our players: the performance was what we wanted and has to be our image as a team.
And second for our fans: their reaction at the end of the match was everything our players needed at that moment. I have no doubts, it will make them stronger. Even if they [supporters] are not happy with the result, which is normal, and we are not either… that reaction was something the players needed and will make them more confident and stronger for the next match.”

The Toffees are currently stranded at the ninth position in the league table and will take on Watford in their next match in the Premier League.
