Turkish giants interested in Chelsea midfielder

Fenerbache are reportedly interested in signing Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel.

The Nigerian international is on the fringes at Stamford Bridge, and his playing time is set to decrease further next season after Jose Mourinho confirmed he wanted to sign a new midfielder.

New Faces at Chelsea

The Blues, who won the 2014/2015 Premier League, are set to sign three new players, according to Mourinho, with a defender, a midfielder and a striker all arriving at the club over the Summer.

With Mikel already struggling for game time behind the likes of Cesc Fabregas and Nemanja Matic, a further midfielder being added would push the 28-year-old further down the pecking order.

Mikel Ready for Move

Despite still having two years left on his contract in West London, Mikel is eager to complete a move away in order to play regular first-team football, and a move to Turkey could be on the cards.

Fenerbache‘s sporting director Giuliano Terraneo has already travelled to London in order to hold talks with Mikel’s agent.
