Fernando Llorente to Chelsea-Seriously?

Swansea striker Fernando Llorente seems to be in Chelsea’s radar out of nowhere, and looks more like a mainstream media rumour than a realistic transfer news.

The Swansea striker has made a few appearances under Antonio Conte at his time in Jiventus as well as the Italian national team. However, reports in the mainstream media suggested that a reunion of some sorts can be possible at Stamford Bridge as the Blues boss seems to lead the talks with his former Juventus and the Italian national team striker.

Whenever there is a transfer rumour in which Chelsea is involved, the first thing that would strike anybody’s mind is the massive loan army that chelsea possesses along with the players that start on the bench in the first team for Chelsea.

A Player like Michy Batshuayi who was bought in the summer transfer window has not been a regular player under Conte but given the FA Cup encounter against Peterborough United, he has been assured to be handed a start. The Belgian striker is a technically gifted player who is two footed and fast, and the equaliser against Watford at Vicarage Road is a solid evidence to prove his point.

Moreover Llorente would not get enough game time as he is currently getting at Swansea given Diego Costa’s devastating form. Plus the new 3-4-3 system and the way the first team has adopted to the system has seen a massive change in Chelsea’s fortunes indeed.

So the bottom line is; bringing back players from loan, giving the unused players a start to test them, and bringing back the likes of Zouma into the first team after a year’s absence would surely be better than bringing players from other teams and giving them less time. It will surely be a win-win situation in all aspects.
