Fiorentina have joined Everton, Arsenal, Roma and Juventus in the race for Chelsea flop Samuel Eto’o
He has had a poor season overall at Stamford Bride, and the Cameroon international will be a free agent soon. It was thought Roma would be in the running for his signature, however Eto’o wants a two-year deal and wants to be paid £60,000-a-week, which means clubs such as Everton could also struggle to pay such a large wage bill.
Eto’o fell out with Jose Mourinho after he mocked the Portuguese tactician by doing an “old man and a walking stick” celebration when he scored at Stamford Bridge.
The Gunners have been identifying striking options to ease the burden off Olivier Giroud while Everton are bracing themselves for the departure of loanee Romelu Lukaku
And now it looks like Fiorentia could make a bid for the Chelsea player. Reports in Italy are indicating that Fiorentina have already held talks with Eto’o’s representatives over a possible move, though whether these reports are true is yet to be proven.
