Arsene Wenger wants to reward five key players with new contracts
Arsenal could be set to reward as many as five first-team players with new deals, according to reports.
Manager Arsene Wenger is desperate to have the five tied down on longer deals and could begin formal talks with them all over the summer break.
It’s reported that; Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jack Wilshere and Santi Cazorla will all be offered new deals by Arsenal officials over the next few months.
It’s believed that Alexis and Ozil are the to vital players they want signed on longer term deals, but the following trio will also be offered new deals despite their lack of game-time this season.
Five New Deals/Five Departures
Arsenal are set to say goodbye to Mathieu Flamini, Tomas Rosicky and Mikel Arteta at the end of the season, as the trio’s contracts all expire, and they could also be joined by full-backs Mathieu Debuchy and Kieran Gibbs, who could be sold.
However, the priority for Wenger this summer is getting those five players tied down on longer deals.
