Teenager has caught the attention of the Premier League’s elite

Leeds United may be resigned to losing teenage starlet Lewis Cook as the Premier League’s elite clubs are circling around Elland Road.

Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea are all keen on, Cook, regarded as one of the Championship’s hottest prospects.

Leeds have endured a difficult time this season. Owner Massimo Cellino is currently disqualified from running the club, and manager Neil Redfearn is expected to leave at the end of the season.

Cook may well be following his manager, though United have slapped a ÂŁ12m price tag on him in a bid to detract potential suitors.

A club source said: “Lewis knows he will have to leave Leeds to fulfil his ambitions.

“All the big clubs have been keeping close tabs on him and want him, so he will have his pick of the best and has a big decision to make.

“He’s wonderful talent and Leeds have no chance of keeping him at Elland Road. It’s just a matter of when, not if, he leaves and it should be quite a mad scramble this summer.”

Cook is said to be reluctant to leave, but he knows he will most probably have to play in the Premier League if he harbours any future England ambitions.
