Former-Chelsea winger Kevin De Bruyne has lashed out at Jose Mourinho for blocking his ‘dream move’ to Borussia Dortmund back in the Summer due to the German outfit refusing to let Robert Lewandoswki move to Stamford Bridge.

The Belgium international finally left Chelsea in January for £17million in order to join Wolfsburg after failing to impress Mourinho during his time at The Bridge, but the 22-year-old has lashed out at his former-boss for not allowing him to move to Dortmund.

De Bruyne has revealed in an interview that he was wanted by Jurgen Klopp in order to strengthen Dortmund’s title-push, but according to the midfielder, a move was ruled out due to Mourinho not being able to sign Lewandowski.

The Blues boss was desperate to sign a star striker and turned his attentions to the Polish striker, but Dortmund rejected all enquiries before Lewandowski finally agreed to join rivals Bayern Munich.

De Bruyne believes Mourinho denied him the chance to join Dortmund due to them not doing business with them for the soon-to-be Munich striker.

‘This is professional football,’ De Bruyne said. ‘Where there is a lot of money involved. So sometimes strange decisions are made.’
