Kluivert himself was also seen as a bad boy durings his spells at both Ajax and Milan, so now he’s praising and defending current Milan star and bad boy Mario Balotelli.

“Balotelli has a special character and is unique, he would fit into any team. People should respect his character and leave him alone. Of course he should pay for his mistakes but it’s pointless to try to change hsi mentality,” Kluivert says in an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport.

Kluiver was also asked what he thought about tonight’s matchup featuring his two former teams, Ajax and Milan. “Nobody expects Ajax to win and I think that it can be to De Boer and his players advantage. The pressure is on Milan’s shoulders.”

Kluivert only played 27 games for Milan inbetwwen 1997 and 1998 and is today assistant coach for Louis Van Gaal in the Netherlands national team.
