Former Real Madrid star claims he would be hurt if Cristiano Ronaldo leaves

The Portugal International helped the club to win their 3rd consecutive Champions League trophy after beating Liverpool 3-1 back in May. But after the match, he cast doubts over his future by hinting that he could leave Santiago Bernabeu this summer.

The 33 year old superstar spoke about the club in the past tense after that game when he said: “We will talk in the future. It’s been really beautiful to play for Real Madrid. I’ll give a response in the coming days.”

There have been strong rumours circulating in the past few days that Juventus are keen to sign the Portuguese winger and are preparing a lucrative €120 million bid for him, with a four-year contract worth €30 million per season.

Real Madrid legend Michel Salgado claims he would be hurt if Ronaldo leaves the La Liga giants this summer.

“Personally, if he is going, it will hurt me because I have been with him for six months,” he said on Monday a quoted by Goal.

“He was leaving his mark in Real Madrid or he is still doing it, but I know him pretty much, and when he takes a decision he goes ahead no matter the consequences.

“But, if Cristiano is not going, we will have him for the biggest moments because he is a phenomenon. But if he finally decides to go, we have to wish him all the best and thank him for everything.

“I am worried that he is going but that is a personal decision and lowering the release clause worried me as well.”
