Tottenham Hotspur sporting director Franco Baldini looks set to lose his job at the North London club, having failed to sign Danny Welbeck, reports the Metro.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is understood to be angry at the Italian, after the Lilywhites failed to sign prized target Welbeck.
And Tottenham missed out on the striker to arch rivals Arsenal, with Welbeck signing for the Gunners from Manchester United in a £16 million fee on deadline day.
Recently appointed Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is also understood to be furious, having targeted a centre forward, with Tottenham relying upon just three senior strikers, in the form of Emmanual Adebayor, Roberto Soldado, and Harry Kane.
Spurs were also apparently close to securing a loan deal for Welbeck last week, however Baldini failed to get it done.
