Frank Lampard has revealed he would love to see his former club complete a deal to sign Harry Kane
However, he admits a deal is just about impossible to accomplish.
Chelsea have so far brought in four new players after signing deals for Willy Caballero, Antonio Rudiger, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Alvaro Morata.
But, The West London Club are still said to be on the hunt for a few more new signings, as Antonio Conte readies for his second season in at the helm.
Diego Costa’s career at Chelsea looks to be over, and the Blues have already lost Nemanja Matic, John Terry and Nathan Ake this summer.
Conte mentioned his admiration of Tottenham Hotspur striker Kane earlier this month.
And Former Blue Frank Lampard is a huge admirer as well and admits Kane would be the perfect signing for Chelsea this summer, but he concedes that a deal would be unlikely.
Asked which player he would love to see Chelsea sign this summer, BT Sport pundit Lampard replied in an interview with The Sport Review: “For me, the best players in the league last year were Eden Hazard and Harry Kane.
“So you’re looking at Harry Kane but they won’t be able to get him, that’s a fact. He’s at Tottenham and he’s very happy there. He’s a fantastic player.
“You can dream about taking all of the top players in the world.”
