French international plays down Manchester United rumours
France and Sevilla star Steven N’Zonzi has played down reports linking him with a move to Manchester United, amongst other clubs.
The 28 year-old midfielder has impressed in recent seasons at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, and recently made his France debut in their win over Wales last week.
N’Zonzi has Premier League experience having played for Blackburn Rovers and Stoke City earlier in his career, but has really established himself at Sevilla where he signed a new contract earlier in the year.
Manchester United, Barcelona and Arsenal have all supposedly shown an interest at the Frenchman, but he insists that he is happy where he is for now.
“I don’t know what will happen in the future. I’m fine in Seville just now, I feel good. I have adapted to the team’s style of play, it’s my third season here and I’m happy.”
However, N’Zonzi did leave the door open for a return to English football and admitted that he loved the Premier League.
“Who knows what will happen? I’m not going to talk about contracts. I love the Premier League, as that’s where I started to play at a high level and I had a great time there.”
