From Spurs to Swindon

Tim Sherwood could be offered an immediate route back into management should he get the axe at Tottenham this summer- with League One side Swindon. Sherwood is heavily expected to make way for current Holland boss Louis Van Gaal in the summer, once he quits his international job. And Swindon chairman Lee Power, who is a close friend of Sherwood, wants his mate to join him at the club.

It would be a huge step down for Sherwood, who replaced Andre Villas Boas as a caretaker manager in December, before chairman Daniel Levy offered him the job until the end of next season. Sherwood has close links with Power, the former Norwich forward, and it is understood that he is interested in employing Sherwood with his assistants Les Ferdinand and Chris Ramsey.

Sherwood laid into his Spurs side after they lost 4-0 to Chelsea on Saturday, he described them as gutless and also had a dig at Daniel Levy for failing to back him publicly, while specualtion mounts over his long term future.
