Fulham joins Chelsea in the hunt for Jean Seri

Fulham have made inquiries for the Ivorian midfielder as Chelsea resolves managerial issues.

The Blue remained interested in signing the midfielder from French club Nice, but due to unsorted managerial solutions, Chelsea havent made a move for the player.

The Blues are very keen on bringing the midfielder to Stamford Bridge who almost joined the Spanish club Barcelona last summer. But with Blues yet to resolve their issues over future manager at the club is the major cause behind no approach for the midfielder.

The future of Antonio Conte still looks dark with Napoli’s head coach Maurizio Sarri as the front runners for the job.

There were reports from Sky Sports, that the Gunners were also interested in the midfielder  but the new reports suggest that Fulham has also inquired for the Ivorian International.  Fulham understand about the release clause of the player worth £35 million.

Seri has desired to join the Premier League in this summer transfer window, with an year still left in his contract at Nice.

Seri officially joined the French club Nice on 11 June 2015 for a transfer fee of €1 million. Seri made his  debut for Nice in their opening match of the 2015-16 season against a 2-1 loss at home against Monaco. Seri register his first competitive goal for Nice in a 4–1 Ligue 1 away draw over Saint-Etienne. Seri appeared for over 212 games over a span od 3 years and scored on 11 occatins.

Premier League winner, Manchester City were also in been liked to the midfielder but their top priorities still remains  Napoli midfielder Jorginho. The talks is still underway for a possible move to Etihad Stadium.

Fulham are confident of bringing down the player in their side as Seri fits their profile. The club was also linked to  Lille midfielder Yves Bissouma.
