Gabriel has been handed a one-match ban and fined £10,000 after his actions in Arsenal’s game against Chelsea last week.
The defender was initially banned for three games after being red-carded for kicking out at Diego Costa. However, the ban was appealed and after reviewing the footage, the ban was overturned on Tuesday by the FA.
However, Gabriel has accepted an improper conduct charge and he will remain banned, albeit just for one game now and he has been fined £10,000.
It means that the Gunners defender will be unable to feature in the club’s game against Leicester this weekend.
