Gareth Bale scored an 11-minute hat-trick to get Real Madrid over the line against Kashima Antlers in the Club World Cup.

The reigning European champions defeated the Japanese side in the semi-final of the Club World Cup by 3-1.

Welsh superstar Gareth Bale handed Real Madrid a place in the final of the Club World Cup with a brilliant hat-trick in the semis. The reigning European champions took Japanese side Kashima Antlers on in the tie and sunk them by 3-1, courtesy of Bale’s hat-trick. The Galacticos have endured a hard time in the La Liga and Champions League in the current season with an acute dearth of goalscorers since the departure of talisman Cristiano Ronaldo as he left for Juventus in the summer.

Bale made his presence felt with his first goal of the match in the first half and then went onto score two more in the second half to hand Real Madrid a famous victory in the competition. The player was in doubt to start the match with an injury problem but looked in sensational form as he brought up his hat-trick with only 11 minutes to spare.

Los Blancos will face UAE outfit Al-Ain in the final of the competition. Al-Ain are shock entrants into the final as they went onto win the other semi-final with a victory in the penalty shootout against the Copa Libertadores champions River Plate.
