Bundesliga sides Wolfsburg and Bayer Leverkusen are reportedly interested in out of favour Chelsea winger Kevin De Bruyne, with the Belgium playmaker in need of some serious first team action.

De Bruyne has been a regular on Chelsea’s bench this season ad Mourinho has opted for either Willian or Oscar ahead of the talented Belgium international, who has yet to really make a stamp on the Chelsea first team set up.

The winger signed from Belgian side Genk in 2012 after spending a successful period in his homeland, however he was loaned out to Bundesliga side Weder Bremen during last season, as he became a fan favourite with the German side.

And with the World Cup looming next year, De Bruyne will be hungry to play regular football in a competative league.

Wolfsburg have never hidden their desire to land the Belgian, whilst Bayer chief Rudi Voller has now confirmed they are very much in the mix to land De Bruyne.

“We made no secret of our interest in Kevin De Bruyne right from last summer,” Voller told Sky Deutschland.

“There are many clubs interested in him.

“Regardless of our league position, we’re always looking for new players.

“It’s possible that we do sign somebody this winter, but then again, we could go into the second half of the season with the same team and look to do something next summer.

“If you do anything, then it’s got to be a top alternative to what we’ve already got here.”

Several sides have been after De Bruyne, with Bundesliga sides Borussia Dortmund, Hamburg, and Weder Breman all sniffing around the youngster, there has also been speculation that Schalke 04 could use either Julian Draxler, or Max Meyer in a propossed swap deal.

Spanish sides Atletico Madrid and Seville are also rumoured to be interested.

But the Bundesliga appears De Bruyne’s most likely destination, while Chelsea do have to decide whether to let him leave on loan or sell him on a permanent basis.
