Germany manager Joachim Low has revealed that he is closely monitoring Arsenal’s teenager Serge Gnabry and could be tempted to give him a shock call-up to his World Cup squad for next Summer.

The teenager has broken his way into the Arsenal first-team set-up this season and due to injuries to Theo Walcott, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Lukas Podolski, the German winger has been able to start a few as well.

However, Germany have a midfield packed with talent and ability, with most of them still being at a young age, but Low seems impressed with Gnabry and has admitted that there could be a spot for him come 2014.

He said: “The boy is really good. He has exceptional qualities.

“I’m still open [to him making the World Cup squad]. We have an eye on him.”

In fact, Low went to watch an Arsenal game earlier on in the season and it was when they faced Welsh side Swansea City.

Gnabry started that game and also scored in his side’s 2-1 victory.
