Steven Gerrard has said that he is hungry for success at Ibrox since the very first day of his appointment.

Rangers are set to make a run for the Scottish Premiership title this season and are currently on level terms with Celtic as far as the points table is concerned.

Steven Gerrard has said that he is hungry for success at Ibrox from his very first day of appointment as the Rangers manager. The Gers have turned the tide in their favour under his tutelage and are vying with reigning champions Celtic for the Scottish Premiership trophy. They are currently placed at the second position on the league table and have played only one game extra than the Hoops.

Speaking about his role as the manager of the Glasgow club, the former Liverpool ace said, “I haven’t taken this job thinking it would be a breeze or walk in the park. I knew there were going to be tough days. I knew there would be challenging days. There certainly has been and I’m sure there’s a lot more in the future. I’ve really enjoyed it. I’ve enjoyed the ride.”

He added, “Nothing has changed – I’m still as excited, hungry and ambitious as I was when I first walked in. The challenge is, as I expected, very tough. But I’ve got my teeth well into it now and I’m really enjoying it.”
