Chelsea legend is currently manager of Middle East side Al Arabi

Former-Chelsea player Gianfranco Zola is ready to annoy his old club by luring current-star John Terry to the Middle East, according to reports.

The long-term Blues centre-back has had a rocky campaign at Stamford Bridge so far this season, after being hauled off at half-time by Jose Mourinho against Manchester City.

Terry hasn’t been a regular unlike usual, with Kurt Zouma making more appearances as Mourinho plans for life after the long-term skipper, and the club-captain could be on his way next summer.

Due to his age, Terry is contracted at Chelsea on a rolling 12-month deal, and with his current deal expiring in June, his future is still up in the air.

Moving On?

The 34-year-old may not get his contract renewed in London and could seek a move away from the club before retiring from the game, and according to reports, Zola wants to sign him.

The Italian is currently managing in the Middle East with Al Arabi, and he’s desperate to lure the England star over.

Zola joined the Qatari club in the summer and he’s ready to stamp his mark on the club with several signings in the near-future, and Terry is high on his list.
