Pescara striker has been linked with move to Anfield
Gianluca Lapadula has admitted he is proud to be linked with a move to Premier League outfit Liverpool.
The Pescara striker is currently Serie B‘s top goalscorer with six goals so far this term, and newspapers in Italy have linked him with a move to the Premier League.
According to reports in Italy, Liverpool are said to be interested in the 25-year-old as Jurgen Klopp eyes another striker for his squad.
Striker Problems at Anfield
Daniel Sturridge is continuing to be a problem with his injuries, while Danny Ings is out for the remainder of the season after undergoing surgery.
That leaves Klopp with just Christian Benteke and an out-of-form Divock Origi.
However, Klopp is interested in bringing a new striker to Anfield, and Lapadula is one of the names being linked.
When asked about links to Liverpool, the striker said: “I do not deny that I felt pride, but I must not think about it because it would be the perfect way to stop scoring.”
