Glen Johnson may leave Liverpool for Barcelona

Liverpool may look to sell right-back Glen Johnson this summer, with Barcelona looking the likeliest destination, according to reports.

Johnson, 31, may leave the club on a free transfer, as his contract is up at the end of the season.

And the Catalan giants are seeking a replacement for Dani Alves, reports from Spanish publication Sport indicate.

Johnson has struggled to make much of an impact this season, making only 21 appearances for the Reds under Brendan Rodgers.

He signed for Liverpool in 2009 from Portsmouth for £17.5m.

The former Chelsea defender has more than 50 caps for England, making his debut against Denmark in 2003, as a substitute for Gary Nevillle.
