Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder alerts English duo

Granit Xhaka has put Arsenal and Liverpool on red-alert after admitting he dreams of playing in the Premier League.

The Borussia Monchengladbach star is making a name for himself in the Bundesliga and his consistent performances have caught the eye of both scouting teams from Arsenal and Liverpool.

The German club value Xhaka at around £37million, and according to reports, both Arsenal and Liverpool are prepared to spend that much in order to land him.

The 23-year-old is one of the brightest talents in German football, but he’s alerted the English duo by admitting the Premier League is his dream.

Xhaka Wants Move

‘I have a childhood dream and that is the Premier League,’ said Xhaka.

‘No matter if I play a second or 100 matches in England, I would one day love to fulfil that childhood dream.’

Despite admitting his dream is to play in the Premier League, officials at Monchengladbach are confident they can keep hold of Xhaka, despite him recently dropping a massive hint that he wants a move to the Emirates Stadium.

Xhaka commented on his shirt-number and how he’d take the 34 number off Francis Coquelin should he move to North London.
