Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has said that the Premier League has made him a better manager. One of the finest managers of our time, Guardiola won plenty of silverware at Barcelona and Bayern Munich before coming to Manchester City. At Barca he won a total of 1 titles that included three La Liga titles, two Champions League titles, two UEFA Cup titles and two FIFA Club World Cup titles.

At Bayern Munich, Guardiola won seven titles that included three Bundesliga titles, a UEFA Super Cup title and a FIFA Club World Cup title. Guardiola has done brilliantly at Manchester City so far, guiding the club to the Premier League title last season. City garnered a record 100 points in the Premier League last season.

This season also, Manchester City have done fine under Guardiola so far. They are at the top of the Premier League table without a defeat.

Despite achieving so much at Spain and Germany, Guardiola believes that the Premier League has enhanced his managerial skills. the Spaniard said, “I am a better manager than I was in Germany, and I am a better manager now than I was in Barcelona by far, just for the fact of being there. Now, I feel being here I am a better manager too because I learned to handle this incredible league in many circumstances. We are doing a job, everybody around the world is watching us, and it is fantastic.”

Guardiola also said that the Premier League is the toughest league due to its unpredictability. He said, “It is the toughest one, for the amount of games, for the weather and the referees saying: ‘play (on), play (on), play (on)’ and the competitors, there are many. It is the only country that five or six [teams] can win the Premier League. ”

The former Barcelona and Spain midfielder also expressed his desire to coach a national team someday. He said, “I would like to be an international manager in a national team. Sooner or later, it will happen because every three days I would like to be involved, but a little bit more calm, play more golf….now I do not have time to play. So yes, sooner or later it is going to happen, if I have a chance and some international team wants to come ‘knock knock’. We will see.”
