Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola said that the club is not making any move for free agent Claudio Marchisio. Just before the start of the Serie A, Marchisio ended his contract with the club, thus ending a 25-year journey with Juventus.

The 32-year old midfielder played 389 matches for the club, scoring 37 goals and providing 43 assists.

When asked if City would make a bid for Marchisio after De Bruyne’s injury, “No. First a big comment for his career – he made an amazing career at Juventus and with the national team. In December, we are going to see what happens in the [next] transfer window but now the squad is the squad.”

Kevin de Bruyne injured his knee during training this week and will be out for three months.

City will play their first home fixture of the Premier League against Huddersfield Town today.
