Pep Guardiola has said that he wants Manchester City to bring their A game against Liverpool.

The Citizens are set to take on the Reds in their next match in the Premier League.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has said that he wants Manchester City to bring their A game against Liverpool. The Citizens are set to face a massive test in their way to hold onto the Premier League title when they take on the Reds in their own backyard. Jurgen Klopp’s men are currently seven points ahead of the third-placed Citizens and are looking destined to dethrone the reigning champions.

Speaking to the media ahead of the mega match, the Manchester City manager said, “If we lose, it will be because they’re better and we were poorer than them. But I don’t have the feeling the players don’t have confidence. They know exactly what they have to do.”

He added, “It’s a dream to play these kind of games. It’s when I’m most calm, more relaxed. I know the players have the responsibility and will give the best performance they can.”

Speaking about the Liverpool defensive ace Virgil Van Dijk, Guardiola said, “He’s an exceptional player. When a player costs whatever it costs and it works, it is well worth it. When you pay less and it doesn’t work, it is so expensive. If he can play every three days with no injuries and play consistently, it is well worth it.”
