Idrissa Gana Gueye has handed a request to leave Everton.
The player has been closely linked with a move to Paris Saint Germain.
Everton midfield ace Idrissa Gueye has pleaded the Merseyside club to let him leave and join PSG. The player has been closely linked with a move with the Ligue 1 club, who are in pursuit of a player to replace out-of-favour midfield ace Adrien Rabiot. The player has been one of the mainstays in the midfield for the Toffees and his departure would definitely leave a big hole in the heart of the pitch for Marco Silva’s side.
Reportedly, Everton have denied the fact that they have received an official transfer request for the Senegalese international from the Ligue 1 giants. However, the situation is still not clear about whether the player would leave the Merseyside club or stay put at Goodison Park.
According to Sky Sports, PSG have had a bid of £ 21.5 million rejected by Everton who are not willing to let their midfield ace leave. The partnership of Andre Gomes with Gueye has provided some stability to the Everton midfield this season and his departure is the last thing that Marco Silva would want to happen in the January transfer window. However, it is expected that the Ligue 1 giants would come back with an improved bid to test the resolution of the Toffees.
