Gunners want playmaker Isco

Arsenal are looking to strengthen their already promising attacking midfield selection, by adding Real Madrid’s spanish playmaker Isco, however, they aren’t the only team interested in the 22-year old.

Both the French and English champions, Paris St. Germain and Manchester City, are keeping tabs on him. Isco may prefer a move to the Etihad to link up with his former manager Manuel Pellegrini, who signed the Spaniard from Valencia when he was in charge at Malaga.

Isco’s form at Malaga earned him a move to the Spanish Giants in 2013, but at the beginning of this season he was unsure about his future in Madrid. The additions of Toni Kroos and James Rodriguez, alongside the talents of Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo, signalled no place in the first team for him.

Despite such competition, he has forced his way into the first team with some good form. Isco has three goals and five assists in 23 appearances in all competitons for the Galacticos this campaign.

Now Arsenal are looking to break their transfer record again by paying ÂŁ64million for the spaniard. Their current record was also in payment to Real Madrid for another attacking midfielder, when they splashed ÂŁ42.5million on Mesut Ozil in 2013.

If the Gunners do pull off a deal for Isco, it will surely put a spanner in the works for Manchester United’s rumoured ÂŁ100million deal for Gareth Bale. As Carlo Ancelotti will not want to lose two of their key attacking players if not any.
