Skipper set to miss Paris Saint-Germain tie

Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink has admitted John Terry looks set to miss the vital Champions League clash with Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday.

The Blues defender was substituted off in the first-half after appearing to damage his leg during an aerial-battle with Newcastle United striker Aleksandar Mitrovic.

Terry is set to have scans and tests to reveal the extent of the injury, but speaking after the game yesterday, Hiddink admitted that Tuesday might come too quickly for the veteran.

Terry To Miss Out?

He said: “We have just two days to recover [before playing PSG in the Champions League] and it is something to think about in the future because two days of recovery is not enough.”

Chelsea are down to their bare bones at the back following Kurt Zouma‘s season-ending injury against Manchester United last weekend, and they could now be left with just Gary Cahill as a fit and recognised centre-back for the game with PSG.
