Former-Chelsea boss has been linked with replacing Jose Mourinho

Guus Hiddink has admitted he wants an ‘attractive’ job amid speculation that he could replace Jose Mourinho at Stamford Bridge.

The current Chelsea manager is under real pressure after the club have lost five of their opening 10 Premier League matches, and have also been eliminated from the Capital One Cup, a trophy they won last season.

Several names have been thrown into the hat about potential Mourinho replacements, with Hiddink and Carlo Ancelotti the main contenders despite their past with the West London club.

Hiddink spent a season at Stamford Bridge back in 2009 as interim manager, when he guided them to the FA Cup, and he’s admitted that attractive football is what gets his attention when it comes to jobs.

Hiddink Interested

“Top-class football is always attractive,” he told Voetbal International.

“I’ve had some offers come my way recently, but there were no jobs I wanted to get in to right away.

“We’ll see, we just have to wait now.”

Reports suggest Mourinho could be sacked if Chelsea lose to Liverpool on Saturday.
