Dietmar Hamann believes that Arsenal can win the Champions League, should they play Calum Chambers as a defensive midfielder.
Chambers, aged 19 has impressed for the Gunners in a fullback position, since completing a big money move from Southampton earlier this summer.
Hamann, who won the Champions League with Liverpool in 2005, believes that pushing Chambers up into that midfield role, could solve Arsene Wenger’s defensive midfield problem in the future, and lead them to a Champions League win.
‘If Chambers were to play there and succeed, then I think Arsenal will be dark horse in the competition this year,’ Hamann said.
‘The problem with Arsenal is the central midfield area. Arteta, I think, has been found out in that position for Arsenal.’
