Harry Kane Could Be Out 'For The Rest Of The Season' - Mauricio Pochettino

Mauricio Pochettino has not ruled out the possibility of Harry Kane missing the remainder of the season after Wednesday’s Champions League fixture against Manchester City.

Even though Tottenham Hotspur managed to grab a 1-0 lead in the opening leg, their offensive talisman, unfortunately, went down to yet another ankle injury.

Kane lunged in to win a fifty-fifty ball near the sidelines but instead was met with the full force of Fabian Delph’s studs on his twisted ankle. The 25-year-old was noticed to be in immediate paid and was seen limping off the pitch with his arms around two of Spurs staff members.

After the game, Pochettino told BT Sport, “It’s very, very sad. It’s going to be tough and we’re going to miss him — maybe for the rest of the season.”

The Argentine boss took issue with the opposition player’s challenge and was also observed to be exchanging words with Delph from the sidelines.

Spurs goalkeeper, Hugo Lloris said he was unaware of the full extent of Kane’s injury. He added, “Hopefully it is not too bad. I don’t know. You know the feeling when one of your best players is going off the field. But we stayed strong and we finished the game in the right way.”
