Harry Kane is confident Tottenham Hotspur’s Wembley experience will be of much help for England when they host Croatia in a crucial game in the UEFA Nations League.
Spurs have been using the Wembley as their makeshift home since the last season as their new stadium is being readied. The North London giants are due to complete their current season at this venue and it could be an added advantage for the Three Lions.
A majority of the current England setup is from the London club with Harry Kane being the most recognized among them. The England captain has had a rich history while playing here and would be looking to continue his rich vein of form on Sunday.
A win in this match would guarantee the Three Lions a place in the next year’s Nation League finals while a loss would demote them to the League B.
Kane said, “We’re comfortable with the surroundings there.
“I don’t think it affects the game too much. But I know where the Wembley goal is. Hopefully I can try and find it tomorrow.
“I’ve had a bit of experience of big games at Wembley with Spurs, in the Champions League with 80,000 people on the side and singing.
“I want to feel that feeling with England tomorrow night. That will definitely be the case if we win the game. I’m excited for it. I’m looking forward to it.
“We know it’s an important and big game for us. We’ve got to show we’ve come a little bit further from the World Cup and show what we can do.”
