Harry Kane Thinks UEFA Nations League Best Chance To End Trophy Drought

Harry Kane believes England’s long quest of winning a major trophy could end next year when they participate in the UEFA Nations League finals.

Goals from Jesse Lingard and Harry Kane made sure England eased their path to the last four of the inaugural Nations League. A semifinal appearance in the World Cup set the tone for this new looked English side and Gareth Southgate could lift his first trophy next year if the Three Lions maintain their form.

Kane led his team to a brilliant 3-2 win over Spain and also netted the winner in this crucial game. The Three Lions have had the knack of messing it up on the big stage but they seem to have moved on developing a killer instincts among them.

Kane said, “It is definitely an opportunity for us.

“It’s another semi-final, two games away from winning a trophy.

“So whoever we play will be a tough game when you look at the groups so we are going to have to beat another big nation, but we have proved we can do that – so we look forward to it.”

“We are professionals. We want to win at everything we do, whether it is a new tournament or an old one we want to win.

“It is a chance to win a trophy in an England shirt, chance to make the fans proud and happy so we are going to try and do that next summer.”
