Eden Hazard will not leave Chelsea

Player of the Year nominee Eden Hazard will not being going anywhere in the summer for any price says Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho.

The Belgium international is the bookies favourite to pick up the PFA Footballer of the Year award after a consistent season with the Blues that has seen him have a combination of 28 goals and assists by mainly playing as a winger.

The 24-year-old has been one of the highlights of Chelsea’s success so far this season in the Premier League and reports from England and Spain claim that European giants Real Madrid are poised to bolster their attack by making a move for the playmaker.

Madrid coach and former French international Zinedine Zidane was flattering the former Lille star this week by saying that he would class Hazard in the same category as Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

However, Mourinho silenced the rumours of him moving this week, he said: “He just signed a contract extension.

“We didn’t put a gun to his head. He had lots of time to think about it.

“He had his family to assist him in his analysis.

“He likes Chelsea, he likes the team. He made a commitment for the future for the team by signing a very good contract.

“I don’t think he’s interested in going.” he added.

The Belgian is setting the Premier League alight in the past few weeks with him being on glorious form as he has netted five goals in his last seven games for the Blues and is set to play against rivals Arsenal this Sunday.

Mourinho ‘doesn’t care’ on what Hazard’s value is in the global transfer market.
