Henry says Monaco should remain positive

Monaco manager Thierry Henry has said that despite their bizarre form this season, his team should remain positive. Henry became Monaco’s manager last month following the sacking of Leonardo Jardim. However, Monaco haven’t won any of the 6 matches that Henry has been in charge of. The best they have managed is draws against Dijon and Club Brugge.

Monaco are currently in 19th position in the Ligue 1 table with only Guingamp below them. Only goal difference is preventing them from being at the bottom of the league table as they have the same number of points of Guingamp. They are bottom of their Champions League group and have no chance of qualifying for the knockout stages.

Yesterday, PSG thrashed Monaco 4-0 at home. Despite Monaco’s struggles this season, Henry has called for his team to stay positive. The Arsenal legend said, “There was a difference in quality. At the beginning of the match they were not serene but in the end it’s a pretty easy win for PSG. There was a reaction, no player lost focus. Even with all our injuries, we have created opportunities against PSG. We must stay positive.”

Monaco’s next match is against CAEN on the 24th.
